Giulio Ghirardo has been working as consultant/facilitator for the last 13 years mainly in the international development sector. Mainly as advisor for organisations and facilitator in workshops on monitoring and evaluation, Theory of Change and Strategic planning.
In the last 5 years has developed a comprehensive methodology for Monitoring and Evaluation with an emphasis on qualitative data with participatory approaches and tools. This approach combines a sound Theory of Change model with a pragmatic approach to M&E, allowing the data collection to serve as learning during implementation and not only after. His focus is mainly on stakeholders’ involvement in development with particular interest in the way each actor relate to one another during change processes dynamics. Previously as development practitioner he has been in charge of projects, programme and country programme mainly in Kenya and East Africa on health and HIV/AIDS. He hold an MA in Participation, Power and Social Change from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
He is an experienced consultant and trainer in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. He uses cognitive and non-cognitive learning methods which allow the body to reconnect with the mind to experience embodied learning. He is trained in Social Presencing Theatre and Theory U from the Presencing Institute from the MIT in Boston.
